The purpose of the homeowner statement is to add some color to your scenario and the reasons why you believe your PACE tax lien should be cancelled and refunded.
Examples of common reasons homeowners appeal for cancellation:
- Misrepresented financial benefits or deceptive terms about how the program works.
- Incomplete or unsatisfactory work (e.g. solar panel failure, roof leaks, paint peeling, etc).
- Never signed any financing agreements (e-signature fraud).
- Unaffordable property tax increase (no consideration of ability to repay).
